FunBites Review and Giveaway

In the beginning of the year I left the working world to stay home with my daughter who is now 2 years old. I also watch two sweet girls during the week (ages 2 and 7 months) so with two toddlers in the house during the week I am constantly prepping food! I am always looking for fun new ways to serve the girls lunch mostly to entice them to eat it. As most parents of toddlers know it can be all about appearance at time with kids.  For the most part Lady A (my daughter) isn't a picky eater in fact she can seriously chow down but every once in a while she will flat out refuse to eat sometime mostly because of what it looks like. That's where Funbites comes to my rescue..

Fun bites is a creative tool for the kitchen which easily cuts food into bite size, cute, and kid friendly sizes. It was created by a mom of two girls, one of which was a picky eater, who just wanted a simple and easy way to introduce new foods.

As the photo on top of this post shows, the funbites comes in two different packs,Luv it (pink) and Cube it (green) which I choose to review. Both packs come with two pieces and is packed with a quick and easy to follow direction sheet. As I unpacked the box I was surprised how well made the funbites is, this thing could probably take a serious beating. Let's get down to the basics...

Here are the directions you can find both on the Funbites site and will come with the product:

Step 1: Place funbites® cutter on top of food.  Remove popper top and set to the side.
Step 2: Grab cutter handles on both sides, press down firmly and rock 5-6 times to cut through the food.
Step 3: Lift the cutter up, insert popper top and pop out the bite-sized pieces!
funbites® is best if hand washed but is dishwasher safe (just wash together as a set as they come; they like to be together all the time!)

Ready to go!

After reading the directions I was ready to test it out.  I wanted to stick with something easy as a tester so once lunch time came around, I decided to make my daughter a peanut butter and honey sandwich, one of her favorites!
The following photo show the results of following the directions step by step.
Pressed down and rocked back and forth a few times
This shows the bottom view after rocking.

The end result Baby sandwiches, I also used the Funbites to cut the apple. Time for Lunch!
I used the Funbites to cut the apple up as well, which of course required a bit more muscle than the sandwich. Since last week I still haven't put the Funbites away, it can either be found in my hands being used, in the sink as it was just used, or drying and prepping to go again. We have used it with numerous things including pizza, grilled chicken, waffles, apples, pancakes, burger, more sandwiches and I am sure we will find more items to put it to work on.

Now here is the fun part! Funbites is also hosting a giveaway for Who Doesn't Love Coupons? Followers!
