"I am a mother of 2 boys ages 12 & 14. A wife of 15 years.

My husband has many health issues and we don't expect that his physical restrictions will allow him to work much longer.  So, I work part time and am now trying to get a business started that I can handle on my own--and one that my husband can assist me in that will not be so physically taxing on him.

I went to a painting class for fun with my girlfriends and LOVED it.  Ever since, I've been delving into other artsy thin gs.   I started with making diaper cakes and hand made greeting cards (hence, the name).  But lately my business has evolved into these photo frames.  It is my favorite aspect of the business so far.

It seems like everyone charges soo much for things to be personal to the consumer.  For instance, the mass produced plain old items that anyone can have are cheap, but anything that makes the product personal to a person, the price sky-rockets.  Why is this?  So, I started making things myself.

The same is true about the quality of the items.  I prefer an item to have character, look like it is old/aged quite a bit.  Again, I found that items like this were terribly outrageous in price.  So, again, I started making my own.

And, that is how I got started.  Even if I don't sell any--I LOVE each piece I design, so I know at least they'll get used by me!  lol."
