I Think It's Time for a Coupon Organizer

When I started couponing, I started slowly. If it was a good day maybe I'd use five or six at the grocery store, and they usually didn't even match up with sales (Gasp).  We have all been there, at least I know most of us have.  It's the beginning. Your  making the effort and that's great,  but boy are you unorganized.

I started off by shoving coupons into an envelope.  At first I thought this was a great idea.  They were all in one place and I even wrote Coupons on the front in pretty colors.  Then I tried using it in the store, it worked at first, only a little digging was required and at this point I didn't have to many coupons. Fast forward a few weeks, I've now learned about online coupons and  I have had the chance to cut several coupon inserts. My envelope is over stuffed not to mention a little shabby looking. I think it's time for a coupon organizer!

Now there are two ways you can go from here.

1.You can pick up one of those small hand held coupon organizers from the dollar store or a local Target.  They will work out great for you if  plan on keeping it basic and only purchasing one paper per week.

2. So maybe you want to stockpile?  Stockpiling involves buying multiples of one item when they are at its lowest price or better yet they are FREE!  Of course with stockpiling you need multiple coupons as well.
In steps the ultimate coupon organizer... the Coupon Binder.  Pick up one of these bad boys,a pack of baseball card holders, and dividers. Now get to work! It will be sooo worth it I promise. I love being at the store and seeing a clearance item; first thought "Do I have a coupon for that?"  Easy I will just flip to that section of my binder!

There are tons of coupons out there for just about anything!  Before I go shopping I always search for coupons, just in case.  Whether it be for shopping for some summer gear at  Kohls or getting my oil changed, I always check first, anything saved is good for me!

  1. I'm just getting started out, and I have the first one that you posted. I've seen a couple shopper with one of the binders in the grocery store before, and I'm totally in awe! Maybe someday that'll be me!

  2. I've been using the first little organizer since I've been doing this. I make a list before I go to the store and pull out the coupons I need in advance. But, when I go to the store, I find myself digging and digging to find coupons for things that are on sale that I didn't plan for. It's so frustrating and hopefully this summer I'll get a big binder! My mom was picking on a lady with one recently because she had never seen that, but I said "I'd sure love to have one!" I'm proud to be a coupon "nerd"! lol

  4. I use a binder, but am looking at trying the coupon wallet--it looks like an amazing thing. I especially want to try it for CVSing.
